Christmas will be a little CRAY-CRAY this year! Please join BES on December 12, 2024 in the BHS gym for the annual Christmas program. First grade is at 5:30pm. Second grade is at 6pm. Students will be checked in and out from the practice gym. Have fun with outfits and accessories! Please no pajamas or formal wear. See ya there!

HURRY! FAST! There is just one more day to contribute to the BISD food drive! We want BES to win the competition!!! The campus that collects the most (based on weight) wins! Most importantly, local families will benefit from all goods collected this holiday season.

BISD will conduct our annual Canned Food Drive for the Bowie Mission November 13-20, 2024. We are so blessed to live in a community that helps our families, and now they need our help to fill the shelves for the holiday season. You can send the non-perishable items to your child's school. Specific items in need are Cereal, Crackers, Canned soup, Macaroni, Canned chili, or any other items you can give. #bowiebuilt #mission #community

But it can also be a stressful time for parents and children who may find themselves needing more support to help make the holiday season one their family deserves. BISD would like to invite our emergent bilingual parents to a “Zoom Watch Party.” This event will focus on educating emergent bilingual parents with the required parent and family literacy services, activities, and training to improve their English language skills. We will have popcorn and drinks to enjoy as we listen to the presenter. The presentation will be in English and Spanish. The Watch Party will be on November 14, 2024, from 12:30-2:00 pm at Bowie ISD Central Admin Building. The address is 404 East Williams St, the last building behind Bowie Intermediate. BISD quisiera invitar a nuestros padres bilingües emergentes a una “Zoom Watch Party”. Este evento se centrará en educar a los padres bilingües emergentes con los servicios, actividades y capacitación necesarios de alfabetización para padres y familias para mejorar sus habilidades en el idioma inglés. Tendremos palomitas y bebidas para disfrutar mientras escuchamos al presentador. La presentación será en inglés y español. La Watch Party será el 14 de noviembre de 2024, de 12:30 a 2:00 p. m. en el edificio de administración central de Bowie ISD. October is Principal Appreciation Month! We can't let the month end without recognizing this amazing group of educators. Our BISD principals are top notch and work tirelessly to move our district forward, maintain high standards of instruction, and create a positive culture on each campus. Thank you to Kathy Green, Jason Childress, Jeneanne Fleming, and Joanne Keeler for all you do in Bowie ISD!
