BISD will conduct our annual Canned Food Drive for the Bowie Mission next week, November 13-16, 2023. We are so blessed to live in a community that helps our families, and now they need our help to fill the shelves for the holiday season. As you are out doing your grocery shopping this weekend, pick up some additional items for the BISD Food Drive. You can send the non-perishable items to your child's school. North Mill Street will be closed from East Houston Street to Small Street beginning Monday, November 6th.  This is necessary in order to move natural gas pipelines to the proper depth.  There is currently no estimate of when this phase of the work will be completed.  However, it could be several weeks.  Please be aware of new traffic patterns in the area and drive carefully. Dear Parents/Guardians, Fall Individual Retake Pictures will be taken at Bowie Junior High School on Monday, October 30th. If your child missed the original picture day or needs a retake then this is your opportunity. These pictures are the ones that are printed in the yearbook. If you would like your child to retake their original fall picture, please make sure that you communicate that with them so that they report to the auditorium when asked to do so. *** Please Note *** All orders will be processed online. DO NOT SEND PICTURE MONEY/ORDERS TO THE SCHOOL. A Proof Flyer will be delivered to the school office approximately three to four weeks following picture day with your child’s fall yearbook retake image as well as ordering instructions. The Class of 2028 is on the move tomorrow. We are attending a career fair at Region 9 in Wichita Falls! The students have selected career interests and will attend 5 sessions based on those interests. The trip will take place within our school day and a boxed lunch is being provided. Students who wish to have their own lunch should bring a disposable lunch container.
