Thank you to the tremendous generosity of our Bowie ISD staff. We are proud to share that a total of $2,715 was donated this holiday season to support God’s Table and the Bowie Mission. Each organization received a contribution of $1,357.50. Gifted & Talented Public Notice

Bowie ISD is now accepting referrals for students who may need Gifted/Talented Services for the school year. This program is designed for students who exhibit intellectual and creative thinking abilities at an extraordinary level, not normally served in the regular classroom. Services are provided only upon identification of the educational needs of the student. Anyone wishing to refer a student attending Bowie ISD in kindergarten through twelfth grade this school year is asked to visit the student’s campus office to request a copy of the referral form. This form must be returned to the school by December 18, 2025. Those unable to go to the school should call their child’s campus to request a form be sent to them.

Bowie ISD está aceptando referencias para los estudiantes que necesiten los servicios del programa Gifted / Talentoso para el año escolar. Este programa está diseñado para estudiantes que exhiben habilidades intelectuales y creativas a un nivel extraordinario, que normalmente los servicios no se dan en el salón de clase regular. Los servicios serán proveídos solamente cuando se le identifique las necesidades del estudiante. Cualquiera que desee referir a un estudiante que este asistiendo a la Escuela del Distrito Escolar de Bowie del grado kindergarten hasta el grado doce de este año escolar se les pide que vayan a la oficina de la escuela que el estudiante esté asistiendo y pedir una copia de la forma de referencia. Esta forma se debe de regresar a la escuela el 18 de diciembre, 2025. Los que no pueden ir a la escuela favor de hablar por teléfono de la escuela para pedir que la forma se les mande a ellos.

Our third graders were surprised with a meaningful gift today, the gift of words! Through the Rotary Dictionary Project, a nationwide initiative that places personal dictionaries in the hands of young learners, members of the Bowie Rotary Club visited Bowie Intermediate to deliver dictionaries to every 3rd grade student. We are grateful for their commitment to supporting literacy and investing in the success of our students at BISD. #BowieBuilt

A huge thank you to all the families who contributed to the BISD Food Drive in support of the Bowie Mission! Together, we donated an incredible 2,905 pounds of food, helping restock the mission’s shelves and making a meaningful impact in our community. Your generosity is truly appreciated! 💛

Thanksgiving Break will be Wednesday, November 26 – Friday, November 28 this year!

Monday and Tuesday (Nov. 24–25) will remain regular school days.

We appreciate your support in helping us maintain strong attendance by ensuring students are present on those two days. Thank you for partnering with us to support student learning and success! 💪

Our annual BISD Food Drive to benefit the Bowie Mission is already underway — and there’s still time to make a difference! 🛒✨

While you’re out shopping this weekend, consider picking up a few extra nonperishable items to help local families in need. Donations will be accepted through November 19.

📦 Drop off your items at your child’s campus and help us stock the shelves for the Bowie Mission this holiday season.

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Veterans 🇺🇸

Today, Bowie ISD had the privilege of hosting a heartfelt Veteran’s Day program to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. We are deeply grateful for their service, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our freedoms. ❤️🤍💙

This event was truly a district-wide effort:

🎶 Band & Choir provided beautiful musical tributes
📘 National Honor Society led the program with pride
🍳 Culinary Arts prepared a delicious breakfast reception
🌹 Floral Design created stunning red and yellow rose presentations and elegant table décor
🎨 Art Classes designed custom reception menus
🚩 FFA presented the flags with honor and tradition
🎤 And to top it off, our 1st graders melted hearts with the sweetest song of appreciation

We are incredibly proud of our students and staff for coming together to create such a meaningful event. BISD is honored to serve our veterans and community in this way.
